I recall this one time I went shopping for accessories, stopped at a kiosk for rechargeable lamps.
Two items caught my attention; a regular cell torch and a solar powered lamp.
I underpriced one and overpriced the other... summing both in his head, the seller agreed and I left thinking I got the best dill.
Turned out the solar lamp was total rubbish and the torch was.. well what I expected- not so good.
The story gives an understanding to DCA, the focal.
Dollar Cost Average!!
This is basically a risk management tool that cushions the effect of losses by providing liquidity to make up for price plunge.
That's gibberish I know😂
Buying/Selling at various prices in order to be in profit as quickly as possible or break even at the very least.
Good things they say comes to those who wait.... That reminds me of another tale, one which worked in my favour this time around...
It was a "prime time" in my life (or so I taught), few days to my 20th birthday... My only wish- getting a smart phone was nowhere in sight.
If you've known me for a while, you'll know I plan a lot...
This was no different as I had planned about 8 months before on how I'll get a phone on/before my birthday.
Omoo, nothing come out😑
And like the one before, I wished myself a happy birthday and went about my business🚶🏽♂️
I didn’t get the smart phone I wanted until 2 years later.... I was always reachable and never really felt the 'void' throughout that time. If you already got the 3rd risk management tool I’m projecting, you’re smart. (Check picture for the 2nd)

So, let’s recall…. DCA, Research and Patience. That wasn’t so hard was it?
